Glenlyon Farmhouse/ Scotland

On this project JAAM/ were given the rare opportunity to help with the careful internal restoration and refurbishment of this Grade II listed, 5-bedroom farmhouse designed by the renowned Scottish Architect – James MacLaren. MacLaren was associated with the Arts and Crafts movement and it’s development of Scottish Vernacular architecture, he is also said to have been a major influence on another famous Scottish Architect, designer and colourist, Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The works included the careful modernisation of the interior, whilst enhancing and restoring existing Victorian features.
